Gr9 titanium alloy is a low-alloyed near-alpha titanium alloy with a nominal composition of Ti-3Al-2.5V. It was developed for cold-workable tubing applications, exhibiting good cold formability and weldability. Its room temperature strength is 20%–50% higher than that of industrial pure titanium, and it demonstrates excellent corrosion resistance in many media. Gr9's weldability and cold formability are superior to TC4 alloy.
Gr9 titanium alloy seamless tubing is suitable for hydraulic and fuel piping systems in aircraft and engines, and has been applied in various military, civilian, and aerospace aircraft. Therefore, TA18 titanium alloy, with its excellent comprehensive properties, is the ideal material for manufacturing high-pressure, lightweight conduits for aircraft.
