Titanium Forgings Titanium Ring Titanium Alloy Forgings
Product Introduction
Titanium has a very similar appearance to steel, with a density of 4.51 g/cm 3, less than 60% of that of steel, making it the least dense element in refractory metals. Titanium is very stable in air at room temperature. When heated to 400-550 ° C, a firm oxide film is formed on the surface to prevent further oxidation. Titanium absorbs oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen very well. This kind of gas is a very harmful impurity to titanium, even if the content is very small (0.01% ~ 0.005%) , it can seriously affect its mechanical properties. The mechanical properties of titanium, known as mechanical properties, are closely related to its purity. High Purity Titanium has excellent machining properties, good elongation and section shrinkage, but low strength, not suitable for structural materials. Industrial pure titanium contains proper amount of impurities, has higher strength and plasticity, suitable for making structural materials.

Application
The primary consumer sector for titanium and titanium alloys is primarily the aerospace industry. In 1980s, 74.8% of titanium was used in American aviation industry, and 90% of titanium was used in civil industry in Japan. In recent years, the application of titanium in non-aerospace industry is increasing, aerospace is still in the"Main" position. Since 1952, when titanium was used as engine nacelles and fire bulkheads on the Douglas DC-7, many aircraft structures have been made of titanium alloys. Titanium parts are crucial for Boeing 757, the supersonic SR-71 blackbird, the F-22 jet fighter, space satellites and missiles. Such as the aircraft fan disc, engine blades are made of titanium castings and forgings.A second area of application for titanium is related to the use of its corrosion resistance. The largest amount is used as electrode material in chlor-alkali production. The service life of titanium anode is 10 times as long as that of graphite anode, which increases the production capacity by nearly 1 times and saves electricity by 15% .
