What is GR2, GR5 & GR23 Titanium Foil?
Gr2 Titanium Foil: This grade of titanium, also known as commercially pure titanium, has a composition of at least 99.6% titanium. It offers good ductility, weldability, and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for use in chemical processing equipment, desalination plants, and heat exchangers.
Gr5 Titanium Foil: Gr5 titanium, or titanium alloy grade 5, contains titanium, aluminum, and vanadium in specific proportions. This combination provides the foil with high strength, low density, and good corrosion resistance. Gr5 titanium foil is commonly used in aerospace components, due to its ability to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures.
Grade 23 Titanium Foil: Grade 23 titanium, also known as Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Extra Low Interstitial), is a widely used titanium alloy. It contains 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium, with extremely low interstitial levels of oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen. This grade offers excellent mechanical properties, including high strength, fatigue resistance, and toughness, making it ideal for applications in the aerospace, medical, and oil & gas industries.
