Titanium seamless pipes are crushed and extruded from tantalum ingots into titanium billets, and then undergo a series of processes such as multiple rolling, annealing, pickling, and grinding to produce suitable titanium pipes.With a density of approximately 60% that of steel- or nickel-based alloys, titanium can significantly reduce the weight of aerospace structures. Tensile strength is better than austenitic or ferritic stainless steel. Titanium has excellent corrosion resistance, exceeding that of stainless steel in most environments. The metal is also non-magnetic and has good heat transfer properties, with a higher melting point than steel alloys.

Titanium is easy to machine. Combined with its strength, stiffness, toughness and high melting point, it is an ideal metal for high-performance metal pipes.
