Corrosion resistance of Aerospace Titanium Alloy Gr5 Sheet:
Titanium has strong corrosion resistance in many media, especially in neutral and oxidizing media, but also can be used in some dilute reducing acid, such as room temperature up to the boiling point of various concentrations of nitric acid. Good corrosion resistance to most alkali solutions, such as room temperature barium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide saturated solutions, but not for boiling sodium hydroxide solutions. Titanium is completely resistant to corrosion in sea water and most organic acids (except formic acid and oxalic acid). It has excellent corrosion resistance in wet chlorine gas, chlorite, hypochlorite and other chloride solutions. Corrosion resistance in sodium chloride solution increases with increasing pH value.
