Cold Rolled Titanium Plate

The process of cold rolled titanium sheet mainly includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: hot rolled titanium tubing is usually used as the prime material, which is pickled to remove the oxide skin.
Cold Continuous Rolling: Rolling is carried out at room temperature to form rolled hard coils. As continuous cold deformation leads to cold work hardening, the strength and hardness of rolled hard coils will rise, but the toughness and plasticity targets will be reduced, so the stamping performance will deteriorate and it can only be used for simply deformed parts.
Annealing treatment: In order to eliminate cold work hardening and rolling stresses, cold rolled titanium plates and coils usually need to undergo continuous annealing (e.g. CAPL units) or hood furnace annealing treatment to achieve the mechanical property targets required by the corresponding specifications.
Finishing: After annealing, finishing treatment is also required, including cutting heads, tails, cutting edges, levelling, flattening, rewinding or longitudinal shearing of plates.
