Corrosion Resistant ASTM B338 Gr1 Gr2 Pure Titanium Bar is an alpha titanium alloy with process and mechanical properties similar to those of industrially pure titanium. When the amount of Pd added to titanium reaches 0.1%-0.2%, the corrosion rate of titanium in sulphuric and hydrochloric acids is significantly reduced, and the corrosion rate of the alloy is almost unchanged by further increasing the content of Pd, while the corrosion rate increases instead when the content of Pd is lower than 0.05%. At lower acid concentrations, titanium-palladium alloys containing 0.13 per cent Pd already have satisfactory corrosion resistance, but when the acid concentration is higher, Ti-0.2Pd has better corrosion resistance, and it is therefore more appropriate to use Ti-0.2Pd.
