Product Introduction

We manufacture custom CNC machined connectors from customer drawings and CAD files, including threaded pipe connectors, hydraulic hose connectors and adapters, pneumatic couplings, compression tube fittings, cable glands, electrical connector shells and contacts, RF and coaxial connector bodies, feedthrough connectors, quick-disconnect couplings, banjo fittings and grounding connectors. Our CNC turning, turn-milling and thread-cutting capabilities produce leak-tight, accurately threaded connectors for hydraulics, pneumatics, instrumentation, electrical and electronics applications.

A connector joins lines, components or circuits, so thread class and pitch, sealing-seat geometry, bore concentricity, cross-hole position and surface finish decide whether it seals, torques correctly and holds pressure. We machine connectors from aluminum (6061-T6, 6082-T6, 7075-T6), stainless steel (303, 304, 316L, 17-4 PH), carbon and alloy steel (1045, 4140, 4340), brass (C36000, C46400), copper (C10100, C11000) and titanium (Grade 2, Grade 5), machined from solid bar - so threads and seats are cut precisely to the drawing for prototypes and low-volume production. Parts are manufactured to specified dimensions, tolerances, materials and finishing requirements, with material certificates available on request.

Connector Threads, Sealing Seats & Geometry

A connector is defined by its threads and sealing features. The items below decide whether it torques, seals and holds pressure. We machine them to drawing, and tighter on request.

Feature Typical Capability Why It Matters for Connectors
Parallel Threads (BSPP, UN, Metric) ISO 6g / 6H class or per drawing Correct torque and thread engagement with mate parts
Tapered Threads (NPT, BSPT) Hand-tight and wrench flats per standard Seal on thread flanks when torqued with sealant
Sealing Seat / Cone (24°, 60°) Angle ±0.1°; surface Ra 0.8–1.6 μm Metal-to-metal seats seal without leakage
O-Ring Grooves Profile and depth ±0.05 mm Repeatable seal compression on port faces
Bore Diameter H8 (precision to H7); ±0.01–0.02 mm Correct flow area and tube fit
Concentricity Thread to Bore 0.02–0.05 mm TIR (precision to 0.01 mm) Lines align and seals seat square
Cross-Hole Position ±0.05–0.1 mm Banjo and cross passages align with mating ports
Hex / Wrench Forms Across-flats ±0.1–0.2 mm Correct assembly torque with standard tools
Surface Roughness Ra 0.8–3.2 μm; Ra 0.4–0.8 μm on request Sealing seats and threads seal cleanly
Critical Dimensions ±0.01 mm (precision to ±0.005 mm) Gauge-quality and alignment features

Critical Features We Control

Thread Accuracy - NPT, BSPP, BSPT, metric ISO 261 and UN/UNF threads cut to class with correct taper, lead and finish.

Sealing Seats - cones, seats and O-ring grooves machined to angle, depth and low roughness for metal-to-metal or O-ring seals.

Concentricity - threads, bores and seats turned in one setup so lines align and seals seat square.

Cross Passages - banjo and cross holes drilled and deburred so flow paths intersect cleanly.

Hex & Torque Forms - hex flats, wrench flats and slots cut to dimension for correct assembly torque.

Identification - part numbers or laser marking on request for traceability and assembly.

Heat Treatment & Stress Relief for CNC Connectors

High-pressure steel connectors are heat treated as specified by the drawing. Stress relief before thread finishing keeps accuracy in finished parts.

Heat Treatment Applicable Grades Typical Connector Parts Benefit
Quench & Temper 1045 · 4140 · 4340 Hydraulic connectors and adapters Higher strength for pressure and torque loading

Prototype & Low-Volume Connector Machining

Connector projects often start with prototypes - new port layouts, thread or seat fit checks, or replacements for obsolete parts that must be tested before production. Machining from solid bar avoids tooling lead times, so prototypes and low volumes are practical. We support prototype and low-volume CNC machining from single samples to repeat small-batch orders.
