ASME SB338 Titanium Wrought Alloy Precision Pipe

Tubing produced using this method has a nominal diameter ranging from 6 inches to 100 inches. Pure titanium tubing is also available commercially. Seamless titanium tubing is made by drawing titanium material into shape. This process yields a smoother tube wall surface and higher wall thickness accuracy. Standards such as ASME SB338 specify the dimensions of titanium tubing. Titanium ERW tubing is manufactured using resistance welding. In this process, the ends of the strip or sheet material used for welding are heated by resistance. As the ends melt, they are joined together to form the tubing.
