Alloy Overview
Titanium mixed with other chemical elements such as molybdenum, aluminum, nickel and zirconium produces a wide range of titanium alloys. Grade 12 (Ti-0.3Mo-0.8Ni, UNS R53400) is a commercially pure wrought alloy with excellent strength at high temperatures, good weldability and outstanding crevice corrosion resistance - the Mo and Ni additions giving it an advantage over CP grades in hot brines and reducing acids.
