The term "half 6-4" is used to describe grade 9 titanium tube on occasion. This combination of titanium with 3% aluminum and 2.5% vanadium offers 20 to half more noteworthy mechanical strength than the financially unadulterated (CP) titanium grades, however is more formable and weldable than Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5).
