ASME SB265 Grade 1 titanium alloy plate exhibits strong corrosion resistance in a wide range of media, especially in neutral and oxidising media. It is commonly used in certain dilute reducing acids, such as nitric acid corrosive environments in various concentrations from room temperature up to the boiling point.
Titanium plate has excellent corrosion resistance in alkaline solutions such as sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sodium hydroxide, as well as in moisture and seawater. However, it should be noted that titanium does not resist the leaching action of hydrofluoric acid.
