Titanium Plate

Titanium alloy has a medium at room temperature and high temperature strength, good creep resistance and thermal stability, high performance and resistance to fatigue crack propagation resistance (sea), and good salt stress corrosion fracture toughness and heat performance, suitable for all kinds of pressure forming processing method, and using a variety of ways to welding and machining. As a multi-purpose material, Ti6Al4V titanium alloy has been widely used in aerospace industry and civil industry. Industrial production of Ti6Al4V titanium alloy ingot was used in the experiment. After peeling, samples were taken from the upper, middle and lower parts of the ingot and chemical composition was tested. The mean values of the measured data of the three samples were (mass fraction, %) : Al6.42, V4.09, Fe0.02, O0.20 and Ti allowance. It can be seen that the content uniformity of principal component elements Al and V and impurity elements Fe and O of Ti6Al4V alloy industrial grade large ingot is good without segregation, which meets the requirement of composition uniformity of high quality and large specification plate.

Oxidation Resistance

Gr5 titanium alloy was heated for a long time below 430℃ to form a very thin and protective oxide film. With the increase of heating temperature, the oxide film thickens and its protection becomes worse. The oxide film thickness of the alloy reaches 25μrn after heating at 700°C for 2h. A thin oxide layer is formed by heating at temperatures above 800℃. After heating at 1000℃ for 1 hour, the thickness of the oxide layer reaches 0.65mm.
