Products Description
Grade 5 titanium tubes/tubings/U-tubes are the most commonly used of the 40 different titanium grades. This grade contains at least 90% titanium and, like all titanium grades, has a low density of 4.43 grams per cubic centimeter. GNEE produces Ti6ai4v tubes in a variety of sizes and standards and supplies them to a large customer base. These tubes are very strong, with a tensile strength of at least 950 MPa and a yield strength of at least 880 MPa. Grade 5 titanium seamless tubes are used for high-precision applications. The material has a melting point of 1632 degrees Celsius. This high melting point makes these tubes suitable for use as heat exchanger tubes, as well as boilers, condensers, and superheaters. Grade 5 titanium welded tubes are used in the aerospace, medical, chemical, and construction industries due to their light weight, corrosion resistance, and high strength.
Gr 5 titanium alloy pipe is also used in the oil and gas, paper mills, refineries, nuclear power plants, fertilizer production, brewing, and mining industries. These pipes meet various specifications, including ASTM B861, B338, and B862. ASTM B558 Grade 5 pipes are available in nominal diameters from ½ inch to 24 inches. They can be seamless, electric-resistance-welded, welded, fabricated, or longitudinally submerged-arc-welded. ASTM B338 Grade 5 seamless pipes have wall thicknesses ranging from 0.02 inch to 0.22 inch.
