Gr1 titanium tube heat treatment process can be summarized as:
(1) solution treatment and aging: the purpose is to improve its strength, α titanium tubes and stable β titanium tubes can not be strengthened heat treatment, in the production of only annealed. α + β titanium tubes and contain a small amount of α-phase sub-stable β titanium tubes can be solid solution treatment and aging to make the alloy further strengthened.
(2) complete annealing: the purpose is to obtain good toughness, improve machinability, facilitate re-machining as well as improve the stability of size and organization.
(3) Stress relief annealing: the purpose is to eliminate or reduce the residual stress generated during processing. Prevent chemical attack and reduce deformation in some corrosive environments.
In addition, in order to meet the special requirements of the workpiece, industrial titanium tubes also use double annealing, isothermal annealing, beta heat treatment, deformation heat treatment and other metal heat treatment processes.
