Gr11 titanium, also known as titanium-palladium alloy, is mainly composed of titanium (Ti) and contains a certain amount of palladium (Pd), as well as a small amount of other elements such as nitrogen (N), carbon (C), hydrogen (H), iron (Fe), oxygen (O), etc. The specific content range is roughly: titanium remainder, 0.12≤palladium≤0.25, nitrogen≤0.03, carbon≤0.08, hydrogen≤0.013, iron≤0.250, oxygen≤0.15 4. Its tensile strength is between 270MPa and 410MPa, yield strength ≥165MPa, elongation ≥27%, density is 4.51g/cm³, and grain size is usually between 6.0-7.0.
This alloy material combines the high corrosion resistance of pure titanium and the anti-oxidation properties of palladium. It is particularly suitable for use in highly corrosive environments, such as in neutral and oxidizing media, and can also be used in some dilute reducing acids (nitric acid of various concentrations from room temperature to boiling point); it has good corrosion resistance to most alkaline solutions (barium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide saturated solutions at room temperature, etc.), but cannot be used in boiling sodium hydroxide solutions; it is completely uncorroded in seawater and is also very corrosion-resistant in most organic acids (except formic acid and oxalic acid); it has excellent corrosion resistance in wet chlorine and chloride solutions such as chlorite and hypochlorite, and its corrosion resistance in sodium chloride solutions increases with the increase of the pH value of the solution.
