On February 4th, a technical team from the Ethiopian Electric Power Company conducted a two-day special inspection at GNEE's production base, focusing on evaluating the application performance of cold-rolled titanium tubes in plateau power transmission projects. Through rigorous technical testing and production audits, the two parties officially signed a supply agreement for GR2 titanium tubes.
The inspection team proceeded directly to the precision cold-rolled tube production area, where they observed the entire manufacturing process of Ø32×2.5mm titanium tubes. In the cold-rolling section, technical experts used laser diameter gauges for online monitoring of the tubes' outer diameter, with measured data consistently maintained within a tolerance range of ±0.05mm. At the eddy current testing station, the clients personally operated the inspection equipment to confirm the absence of any surface or internal defects in the tubes.
In the material laboratory, specialized tests were conducted by simulating a 2,500-meter plateau environment in accordance with Ethiopian national power standards. Under cyclic conditions with a daily temperature variation of 30°C, the GR2 titanium tubes maintained an electrical conductivity retention rate exceeding 99.8%, with a stable thermal expansion coefficient of 8.6×10⁻⁶/℃. A specially conducted vibration fatigue test showed that the tubes exhibited no cracks under simulated 30-year wind vibration conditions.

At the intelligent warehousing center, the clients experienced GNEE's smart logistics management system. By scanning the RFID tags on the tubes, they could trace the entire process information from raw material storage to finished product delivery in real-time, including records of temperature and humidity changes during transportation, ensuring product quality stability in complex logistics environments.
Based on the on-site verification, both parties confirmed the technical specifications and delivery plan for the first batch of GR2 titanium tubes and agreed to establish a monthly quality communication mechanism. This collaboration marks the formal entry of GNEE titanium tube products into Ethiopia's power infrastructure sector, laying a technical foundation for future participation in power transmission network construction across East Africa.
