For the welding of Grade 7 titanium alloy, it is best to use argon arc welding. During the welding process, the welding molten pool and the heat-affected zone, where the temperature exceeds 400°C, need to be protected from contamination by airborne gases. If the welding is a cylindrical workpiece, the upper and lower protection boxes can be used to provide argon gas protection. It is also necessary to clean the surface of the welding bevel before welding.
